Family with children nightmare

The indoor pool was broken and the hot tub was lukewarm I didn’t even let my kid go in which is just wrong

It wasn't cheap but it was an absolute disaster of a stay

We had a lovely stay at the hotel! After a long drive, we loved exploring the nearby Libertyville Sports Center, where the kids enjoyed some indoor activities. The room was neat, clean, and super quiet. The comfy bed made it easy for us to unwind after our adventures. Breakfast was a hit too!

In my kids’ opinion, the breakfast selection could have been better.

I had an awesome stay, especially enjoying the clean, comfy rooms and the nice renovations. The breakfast was a bit lacking though, not what I hoped for.

It was just a fine choice for a weekend stopover in Gurnee with fantastic value. The room was cramped and not very clean, and we had to wait a long time to check in. Be ready for a long wait if you arrive during busy times.

However, our room was not as expected, with some equipment needing attention. the TV remote and room key access were unreliable. Additionally, noise from a nearby barking dog was a minor disruption.

I appreciated the friendly atmosphere and how the staff went out of their way to assist. The room was clean and the lobby was inviting, making it a perfect spot to relax after our day's activities.

Helpful staff, but room woes

We stayed for 3 nights and the staff was super nice, especially the manager who helped us when our first room was a mess. The pool was awesome and the only fun part. But the room had a weird smell, the AC didn’t work right, and we found bugs. Not the best experience overall.

If you're a food lover, Gurnee has a hidden gem, like that local fish taco spot that hits just right! Aside from the culinary delights, our hot tub experience was awesome, the staff were rad and really made the stay fun. Room was super fresh too.

Comfortable room, friendly staff, with a nice shower that had great water pressure and convenient access to the indoor swimming pool.

The room was clean and well-appointed, though a bit small. The beds were super comfy—seriously some of the best. I loved the modern look and fun rollercoaster frames on the wall. The big mirror by the vanity was also a nice touch for getting ready.

The room offered a cozy retreat after long days at the nearby attractions, but I was disappointed by the lack of breakfast options. Cooking my own waffles didn’t quite hit the spot. Consider asking for a quieter room if you're sensitive to noise from neighbors.

we had a nice 2-night stay at la quinta! the double room with two double beds was clean and well-appointed. breakfast was a highlight, with good coffee and ample seating. it's also super convenient for visiting six flags, just a short walk away. the vending machines offered reasonably priced snacks and drinks, which was a nice touch.
